MSC Technologies presents robust 19-inch systems with industrial PICMG 1.3 slot CPU

MSC Technologies, a business unit of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), introduces robust 4 U and 2 U 19-inch systems of its Infinity® family which integrate a PICMG 1.3 industrial slot CPU. The powerful industrial computers can be assembled with various quality drive variants. The I4 4 U models offer thirteen, the I2 2 U systems four free slots for additional plug-in cards. The PCMG 1.3 slot CPU is based on the Intel® Q87 desktop chipset and desktop versions (S series) of the 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors.

Both I4 19-inch systems with a depth of 508 mm or 408 mm offer 1 x PCI Express™ x16, 2 x PCI Express™ x4, 8 x PCI, and 2 x ISA slots. In addition, the housing provides space for four (508 mm model) or two 5.25-inch plug-in modules and one 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch plug-in module. The I4 2 U computer has a depth of 448 mm and offers 1 x PCI Express™ x16, 1 x PCI Express™ x1, and 2 x PCI slots. Maximal 80 GB mSATA III, up to 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD/HDD, up to 2 TB 3.5 HDD or 5.25-inch DVD RW drives can be mounted.

The robust 19-inch Infinity® systems have a high-quality chassis for deployment in rugged industrial environments. The housing can be varnished in customized colors and custom logos. The mounted air filter as dust protection can be replaced easily from the front. The industrial computer is designed for installation in 19-inch cabinets or can be provided as a stand-alone unit. The operating temperatures range from 0° to 45° C. As standard, the 19-inch systems are delivered with a 600 W power pack (115 – 230 VAC) 80 PLUS or alternatively with a 2 x 500 W redundant AC power pack.
